Diana has worked in the Coca-Cola system for 21 years and is currently a machine operator at the Londonderry Production Center. She’s no stranger to change and she’s the type of person to see the silver lining in all things.
Diana came to America in 1990 from Vietnam and began working for Coca-Cola in Needham shortly thereafter. She even learned English from her co-workers there.
A. I’m a label person, so I can tell you what’s right and wrong. You have to pay very close attention. We’re supposed to check the labels every hour but I always check every 15 minutes to make sure. I walk around and am checking the bottles. If there’s ever something that isn’t right, we stop right away. I love my job.
Q. What the best part about your job?
A. The customer is the best part of the job.
Q. What’s the most challenging part of your job?
A. I work almost 80 hours a week and spend a lot of time away from my home in Weymouth, MA. But every day we try to work harder and get better and get more volume and more customers. I love my job. If anyone asks me to come in early or to stay late, I do.
Q. Do you have a favorite memory from working at Coke Northeast?
A. I have a lot of good memories and experiences here. I came from Needham so I feel very sad about it closing but I’m also very happy to be in Londonderry. The managers, supervisors, and all of my co-workers on the first day made me feel like I was home and this is my home now! They made me feel so comfortable. I’m happy I get to work with them.
Q. Why would you recommend working at Coke Northeast?
A. I always tell people when we have open jobs! I tell them my boss, supervisor, and co-workers are the best and that Coca-Cola is the best place to work. I have a 12-year-old daughter, and she said, “Mommy when I grow up, I’m going to work for Coca-Cola,” and that makes me happy!
Q. What’s your favorite Coca-Cola product?
A. Dasani is my favorite. I love my water. I call it my baby because [Londonderry's Dasani line] came from Needham like me.
